Alex is a photographer and filmmaker based out of Sydney. Almost immediately after finishing film school, he set up his own production company - 18 on 9 and since then has produced, directed and/or otherwise being highly involved in a variety of projects including music videos, commercials, short films, corporate videos and an interactive show at Sydney Opera House or two. Somehow in the intervening years he also picked up a camera and starting shooting photography. The photography, whilst never a part of the original plan took over Alex's life and since turning professional in 2007, Alex has shot for a varied assortment of advertising, music and fashion clients. Such high profile clients include the Australian Chamber Orchestra, EMI, Distracted Media/Zapruder's Other Films and Bizarre Mag. Alex has also had one solo exhibition,which completely took over the Lounge in Surry Hills in mid-2009, and recently won the 2D section of the prestigious Manning Art Prize. He has two further solo exhibitions at Frances Keevil Gallery in 2012 and Manning Art Gallery in 2013.
